Eagle offers an array of parks for the community to stay connected and enjoy throughout the seasons.
Eagle Island State Park
With 545 acres of outdoor opportunities, there is something for everyone at Eagle Island State Park. The park is popular among families, hikers, birdwatchers, nature enthusiasts and more as it offers an array of activities. It features a twisty waterslide that a is a hit among children of all ages as well a sandy beach connected to a designated swimming area. Away from the river is a large grassy picnic area, a volleyball court and five miles of maintained trails for horseback riding, hiking, and dog walking. Additionally, there is a 9- and 18-hole disk golf course offering a fun challenge! It is the perfect place to spend a day in the sun.
In the summer, Zip Boise offers zipline courses and tours. While in the winter, a sub-section (Gateway Park) opens as a snow-tubing hill for all ages. Don’t want to snow tube? There are warm concessions and seating available as well!
Stephen C Guerber Park
Located off Hill Road, Guerber Park offers fun opportunities for adults and children. It features a large, newly remodeled playground with bright colors and a childlike flare. In addition, there are basketball courts, a little league facility, open grassy space, paved walking paths, and two rentable shelters with tables and seating perfect for birthday parties, family gatherings or an outdoor picnic. In the summer visitors can cool off in the splash pad and enjoy an array of water activities, toys, sprinklers and most famously a large dump bucket. Friendship Park
Friendship Park is a treasured gem in the Eagle community and popular with families and older children. It is perfect for soaking in the sunshine with sheltered picnic tables, a grill, and a large grassy space. The park features two lighted tennis courts and is additionally marked for pickleball. There is an advanced playground with equipment designed for older children and an arch climber area where kids can take their play to the sky.
Reid W. Merrill Park
Merrill Park brings the community together for an array of events to stay connected. Two of the most popular events include Baldapaloza and Haunted Woods. Baldapaloza is a concert hosted at the park to raise money for children fighting cancer. Haunted Woods is a spooky tradition in October run by the Eagle firefighters. The park features a playground, splash pad, basketball, and sand volleyball courts, as well as open field space perfect for picnicking and throwing the ball around. With direct access to the Boise River and greenbelt, visitors can enjoy paved walking and biking paths, as well as an abundance of river activities.
Heritage Park
Located in the heart of downtown Eagle Heritage Park has a beautiful gazebo and water features for all to enjoy. It is the picture-perfect place for a picnic. This character location hosts the Eagle Saturday Market and an array of events and gatherings throughout the year.
Orval Krasen Park
Orval Krasen Park is the perfect park for families with young children. The amenities include a picnic shelter, benches, grill, playground, swings, and a dome climber. It is a great place to spend a relaxing afternoon.
Eagle Sports Complex Bike Park
Surrounded by Idaho’s beautiful landscape sits the Eagle Sports Complex Bike Park. With over 200 acres, the park offers an extensive amount of hiking and mountain biking trails for all levels of experience. Additionally, it includes a BMX track, an R.C. Raceway, two dog parks (small and large dog), a skateboard park, basketball courts, an inline hockey rink, and picnic tables. There is something for everyone at Eagle Sports Complex Bike Park!
Arboretum Park
Located in downtown Eagle Arboretum Park boasts 37 varieties of trees and shrubs, each identified by name. In addition, the park features picnic tables, benches, and a walking path.
