Heading North along the east side of the lake you can see Tamarack Ski Resort to the west. This four-season resort features downhill skiing, snowboarding, Nordic skiing, and snowshoeing with 2,800 feet of vertical on 2,000 mountain acres. Moreover, several restaurants and lodging avenues line the base of the slopes to offer ski-in/ski-out opportunities. During the spring and summer months enjoy mountain biking, ziplining, hiking, concerts, fishing and all manners of water activities from the affiliated marina. They also just opened an 18-hole championship golf course!

The small town of Donnelly is located at the north end of Lake Cascade. There are both vacation and full-time residences throughout the city and along the lake. The quaint town features a gas station, a few restaurants, and shops. It is a beautiful 20-minute drive north through pastures and small locales to the city limits of McCall.
