North Meridian, north of Ustick Road, borders Eagle and Star to the south near Chinden Boulevard. It features a growing arena of shops, restaurants, grocery stores and residential developments. Accordingly, the city is progressing from farmland to a more suburban lifestyle to the west.
 

Neighborhoods:

Some neighborhoods in north Meridian include Saguaro Canyon, Alpine Pointe, Champion Park, Bainbridge, Bridgetower, Lochsa Falls, Paramount and the many offshoots of SpurWing. Subsquently, many new construction neighborhoods are prevalent in this location.
 

Shopping:

Some of the larger stores to the east include Lowe’s, Hobby Lobby, Dick’s Sporting Goods, Kohl’s and other shops and restaurants. The Eagle Island Marketplace to the west hosts Fred Meyer, fast food venues, restaurants, and shops. Walmart and the more recently built Costco and WinCo grocery store can also be found there.
 

Parks & Recreation:

One of the gems of Meridian is The Club at Spurwing. This 18-hole championship golf course boasts being the longest private course in the Treasure Valley. Likewise, Settlers Park is a massive complex including three shelters available to rent for parties. The complex includes tennis courts, horseshoe pits, baseball fields, disc golf course, playground with splashpad and playing fields. Additionally, other notable parks in north Meridian include Champion Park, Heroes Park and Reta Huskey Park.
 

Greatschools.org:

According to GreatSchools.org, there are two high schools in north Meridian including Rocky Mountain High and the recently built Owyhee High School. The two public middle schools are Heritage Middle and Sawtooth Middle. There are numerous elementary schools throughout the area.
